Airbus ITC – Room Air for Aeronautics

With the Integrated Technology Center (ITC), Airbus expanded its clean room facilities for the production of satellites. The company invested around 45 million euros in its site in Immenstaad located at Lake Constance. Satellites, with a maximum height of 16 meters, can now be produced in the newly built ITC. Airbus engineers and technicians are capable of simultaneously working on 8 satellites within the ITC. The production of satellites places the highest demands on ventilation and air-conditioning; this concerns both the purity of the room air as well as operational safety. 14 AHUs by robatherm move more than half a million cubic meters of air every hour at the ITC.
